Can you believe it is July?! I’m having a hard time believing that 2013 is half over! It’s crazy isn’t it. I don’t really want to start thinking about Christmas yet, but I know if I start thinking about it now, I’ll be able to enjoy the month of December more.
Anyway, I’ve had SO.MUCH.FUN decorating for the 4th of July this year. I’ve finished tons of different projects and I’m loving all of them! I think this project is one of my favorites, simply because it was so fast to make.
If you are interested in the file, you can download it here. The cartridges used for this are: Summer Celebrations, Summer Bliss Holiday, Cricut Essentials, George & Basic Shapes, and Store Front. You could also design your own as well.
Once I had all of the shapes cut out, I sorted them by color and shape. Then I interchanged the centers of the stars, and then decided on the order that I was going to sew them together.
I started sewing, with a long stitch length, leaving an inch or so between each shape.
Once you have it all sewn together, you hang it up! Mine ended up being probably about 12 feet long. I didn’t measure, I’m just guessing.
Aren’t these starts fun?! I love the ones that have different colored centers!
When making garlands like this, I think it is really fun to put two things together and sew them, like I did with these fireworks.
I’m pretty sure that this is one of my new favorite pieces of my Patriotic Decor! It goes so well with all the rest of the 4th of July Decor!
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your Cricut and start cutting! 🙂
