When was the last time you had a bad cold? I’ve got one right now, and I can’t believe how bad it is kicking my butt! Usually I can load up on over the counter medicine, and I do pretty good, but not this time. I’ve taken a nap everyday for the last 6 days, I’ve been so exhausted. It’s crazy, I’m hoping that I get over it soon!
A couple of weeks ago, before I headed to SNAP, I was working on putting together some roommate gifts. I was planning to to cut everything out and glue it together, but I got into a time crunch, and decided it would be faster to try out the draw and cut feature on the new Cricut Explore machine. I was seriously AMAZED! I of course, forgot to take pictures of all of the personalized notebook gifts I put together, but I do have mine to show you.

Since you have the ability to useĀ your system fonts with the Cricut Explore, I recreated my logo, and my roommates logos in the Cricut Design Space. I marked the different layers with the color that I wanted them, and also marked that they were to be drawn rather than cut. When I was cutting, the program told me which pen/marker I needed to put into the slot. It was SO easy! I’m totally hooked now. Once I had everything drawn and cut out, I just used glue dots to attach them to the notebooks (I got the notebooks from Pick Your Plum).
I didn’t know if I would really use the draw and cut feature on this new machine, but now that I’ve tried it, I will be using it a lot more often!
