It is no secret that I love banners. I’m always wanting to make them! I got a fun box full of Stampin’ Up! supplies at my door the other day, and when I opened it, I knew exactly what I wanted to make. This Heart Book Page Banner! It is really simple to make too!

For this Valentine Book Page Banner you’ll need:

  • Groovy Love Clear Stamp Set
  • Specialty Typeset Designer Series Paper
  • Very Vanilla 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock
  • Classic Stampin’ Pad – Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Smokey Slate
  • Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine
  • Sweetheart Punch
  • Banners Framelits Die
  • SNAIL Permanent Adhesive
  • Hole Punch
  • Non-Electronic Die Cutting Machine (I used my Cricut Cuttlebug)

Start off by cutting out your banner shapes. I was able to get 8 out of one sheet of paper. Also, since this is paper, not cardstock, I was able to cut 4 layers at a time.

Stack up your banner pieces and punch the holes in them.

Using the Groovy Love Stamp Set and your Classic Stampin’ Pads, stamp out several hearts in each color.

Use the Sweetheart Punch to punch them all out.

Lay out your banner pieces so you know what colors of hearts you are putting where.

For the hearts that are going on the top, fold them in half.

Adhere the bottom hearts to the banner pieces. Use a fine tip glue pen to glue the fold of the heart to the center of the bottom heart.

Use your Strawberry Slush Baker’s Twine and string your banner together.

Hang it up, step back and enjoy it!

I love the dimension that the folded hearts add to the banner. It looks great with my paper straw garland too!

The simplicity of this project adds the perfect simple touch to the valentine’s day decor.
