What is your most favorite time about this time of year? Do you enjoy Thanksgiving like I do? I don’t know why, but it is one of my very favorite holidays. It’s a holiday that most times is spent with extended family, that sometimes hasn’t been seen in a while. For me, some holidays are more enjoyable at home with your own little family, but Thanksgiving isn’t one of them. I love getting together with family, and I also love to make name cards for the family that we get together with. Do you do name cards? Today I want to share with you these colorful, textured, and simple Thanksgiving Turkey Place Cards that you can make for your Thanksgiving holiday. This is a project that I enjoyed sharing last year on the Core’dinations blog.

Use your 1 3/4″ circle punch and punch out kraft cardstock for as many name cards as you are making along with one of each color of the spotted cardstock for each name card. Use the Sand-it Gadget to distress the top of the spotted cardstock.
Using a glue dot on the back of your spotted cardstock circles, tri-fold them, creating your feathers.
Lay out your feathers, side by side.
Use your glue dots to adhere the 1 3/4″ kraft cardstock circle to the front of the feathers.
Cut a small piece of floral foam to fit in the bottom on your mini buckets. Cut a skewer to the length that you’d like, and stick it in the foam.
Use your 1″ circle punch to punch a circle for the face. Use your pen to draw the face onto your turkey. Adhere the face to the turkey body with a glue dot. Attach your turkey to your skewer, then tie your mini tag with the name on it to the skewer. Place your turkey in the mini bucket.
These Thanksgiving Turkey Name Cards are simple enough to make that you could make a bunch of them for all the extended family for Thanksgiving dinner.
The texture on the feathers adds to the fun of the turkeys as well.
