I received product in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

Have you guys ever seen anything so cute as these DIY Mini Pinatas from We R Memory Keepers? I thought they were so cute, but once I started putting them together, and was able to totally customize them, they got that much cuter! As I was making them, I thought “how fun would it be to have a birthday party, where everyone comes, and makes a pinata as their party favor to take home?” It would be SO fun!

The supplies you’ll need to make your own pinatas are:

  • We R Memory Keepers Pinatas (there are SO many shapes to choose from)
  • DIY Party Fringe Tape (Lots of colors to choose from)
  • Candy
  • Adhesive
  • DIY Home Thickers
  • Winter Wonderland Thickers

I used the circle pinata’s for these, but there are so many fun shapes to choose from. I can’t decide if the donkey, heart, or star is my favorite, aren’t they cute?! I filled them up with candy.

Then I used some adhesive dots on the flaps to glue it shut.

I placed the flaps down inside the circle and made sure they were adhered well.

On the first one, I went around the circle with the fringe. I thought this would be fun if you wanted to make it look like a birthday cake. I did the edges first, then moved to the top.

This fringe is awesome because it’s already cut, and it already has adhesive on it, so you just peel and stick.

On the next two that I put fringe on, I just continued the fringe round the sides, rather than wrapping the sides like the above pinata. I like the way the second two turned out better, but they all turned out cute. While I was making these, I thought “what a fun birthday gift these would be” so I decided I wanted to put something on the top of them. I grabbed my thickers, and was ready to get to work.

I added glittered “party time” thickers to this one.

I added “happy day” to this cute & colorful pinata. This one could be used for a birthday, or just to give to a friend to brighten their day.

I think this one is my favorite. I love the way the pastel colored fringe mixes together, and then I used the white glittery thickers on it to put “happy birthday”. Isn’t it fun?!

So next time you have a friend with a birthday, grab some pinata’s and put one together for them. You could even make them in their favorite colors, you could do it the colors of their favorite team, or whatever.

So tell me, what is you favorite pinata shape, and what would you use these fun pinata’s for?
