Good morning friends. I’m so excited to be sharing this post with you today! A while back, Stacy from Not Just A Housewife asked me to participate in Styled X3 and I was so excited. I had NO idea what the item might be that we would all be using, but I was excited for the challenge. So today I’m going to share my project, Fall Flower Decor with Mini Jars, with you! Don’t forget to check out what Stacy from Not Just A Housewife and Heidi from HoneyBear Lane did with their jars too!

Stacy sent me a pack of the CUTEST mini jars! It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with these. I had so many ideas floating around in my head, but I decided I wanted to make something for Fall with them.
I headed out to the garage to make a little box for these to sit in. I cut some plywood for the bottom of the box and a 1 x 2 for the sides. I cut the wood for the box so I could fit five little jars in it. Once the wood was cut, I nailed the box together.
I fit my five jars perfectly once I had it done.
I painted the box white.
Then I picked out some fall colored papers for my flowers.
To make the flowers, I cut strips of my paper, 1.5″ wide. I folded the paper in half lengthwise, and put adhesive on one side. I folded it over so it was stuck together, then cut little cuts all along the folded edge. Then I added more adhesive to it and started rolling it to make my flower. I took a small piece of wire, curled the end and bent the tip so I could put the flower on it.
I added a small piece of styrofoam to the bottom of my jar so I could push the wire down in it.
Once I had all the flowers made, I put them in the jars.
I filled the jars with some small rock to hide the styrofoam.
Then I added a small piece of twine, that matched the flowers, to the top of each jar.
This little project turned out better than I thought it would! I adore the way these flowers turned out!
I love the touch that the twine adds.
These little jars are seriously the cutest! They are only 3″ tall! I have a few extras after this project and I can’t wait to play with them some more. 🙂
What do you think? Do these make you want to get all of your fall decor out too? I can’t wait to get mine out!
