I’m so excited to share this project with you today!! I’m excited for a few reasons! I love sharing teacher gifts, I’m sharing along with a couple of my friends who are also sharing ideas for how to use the same cut file, and it’s a super simple and easy project! You’ll have this End of Year Teacher Gift with SVG Cut File put together in no time! Liz from Liz on Call created this fun cut file that is perfect for any kind of teacher gift. It would work for teacher appreciation week, the end of the school year, or even the beginning of the school year. I’m excited to share this project along with the projects that Liz and Laura from Laura’s Crafty Life is sharing as well.

End of Year Teacher Gift with SVG Cut File Supplies:
- Clear Insulated Tumblers
- Adhesive Vinyl in Colors of Choice (I used indoor but outdoor could be used as well)
- Transfer Tape
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- #1 Teacher SVG File
Once I had the SVG file uploaded to Cricut Design Space, I was ready to get it cut out. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut this design. I am always amazed when I cut out small, delicate lettering how well it cuts on the Cricut! I also love that my machine has Bluetooth. It’s so nice that I don’t have to have my computer plugged in to use it! I got my different layers all cut out.
Then I weeded them. Look how small that lettering is!
Once I had all my pieces ready, I knew I wanted to layer the entire design onto the transfer tape before I tried to place it on the tumbler. I put the transfer tape on the apple piece first. Then peeled the backing from it.
Then I placed the green leaf and the brown stem into where they needed to be. I placed the backing for the apple back onto the back once I had those pieces in place. Then I placed the name at the bottom where I wanted it. At this point, all four pieces were on the same piece of transfer tape, and would go onto the cup all at once. It is so much easier to line the vinyl up when it’s flat, rather than on a rounded tumbler.
I placed my vinyl onto the tumbler. I made sure that I had it where I wanted it, and let the middle section of the transfer tape adhere first. I smoothed out the center, and then carefully smoothed down both sides of the decal.
Once I had the entire decal adhered to the tumbler, I was ready to pull the transfer tape up.
I was so excited when I pulled the transfer tape up! It turned out so good!!
This End of Year Teacher Gift with SVG Cut File was so easy, I decided to go crazy and I’m giving one to each of my boys middle school teachers. They each have eight teachers, and two of my boys go to that school, so I’m making 16 of them.
But they make such inexpensive gifts and are so quick to make!
I hope the teachers enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed putting them together!
Do you have a teacher that you’d like to give one of these to?

Laura from Laura’s Crafty Life used it with iron-on vinyl on this cute tote for a teacher gift! How cute is that?! I love what the glitter adds!
