Sometimes giving gift cards is the way to go. If you want to let someone know you appreciate them or you want to thank someone, but you aren’t sure what kinds of things they like, then giving them gift cards works for letting them know that you are thankful. Today, I’m sharing this End of Year Teacher Gift – Gift Card Holder with you. It is so simple to whip up and it’s more fun than giving the gift card alone. You can even write a personal not on the back of the gift card holder.

End of Year Teacher Gift – Gift Card Holder Supplies:
- Patterned Cardstock of your Choice
- Vellum Cards
- Cardstock Stickers
- Pink Twine
- Glue Dots
- Flower Stickers
- Dimensional Adhesive
- Sewing Machine
I trimmed the cardstock for the backing to the size I wanted. I made mine 4.25″ x 5.5″ so it was the same size as a standard card. I placed my vellum on the paper where I wanted it and started sewing.
I went around the sides and bottom with the sewing machine.
I pulled out this pink daisy paper and cut it into a circle. Cutting it like this will allow you to make a paper flower.
The edges of this circle were just calling to be inked.
I rolled it up and used a glue dot to secure it. To see better how to roll it up, check out this Paper Flower Spring Centerpiece post.
I attached the flower to the corner of the card.
Then I added a couple of flowers stickers next to it.
Once I added the flowers, it was ready to have the gift card slipped into the pocket!
That’s it for this one. Super simple to make and put together!
For the other End of Year Teacher Gift, I trimmed my paper to size and inked the edges of it. Then I used the sewing machine to attach it to the card where I wanted it.
I grabbed a “Thanks a bunch” sticker and put baby powder on the back of it to make it not be sticky anymore. Then I used dimensional adhesive to attach it to the card. Once attached, I tied some pink twine around it.
It turns out being such a cute way to give away gift cards!
So grab some gift cards for the teachers favorite stores or restaurants and slip them in the little pocket and you’re ready for the end of the school year!
If you aren’t sure what stores or restaurants that the teachers like, send them a quick email. In my experience they are always pretty good about replying to your email!
