Grandmas Kitchen Towel – Mother’s Day Gift Idea Supplies:
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
- Gray HTV
- Sweet Mint HTV
- EasyPress
- EasyPress Mat
- Flower Sack Towel
- SVG File *For Personal Use Only* (This is my first one, and the file is really big is size. The file looks blank, but if you scroll down and to the right, it is there.)
After you download the SVG file, you’ll need to upload it into Cricut Design Space. Size it to the size that you want for your project. I did 6″ wide for this towel. It will upload as all one color + grouped together. Click ungroup, select the layers that you want gray, click attach. Then you can select the color. You’ll know if they aren’t attached if the letters are all jumbled on the mat when you click “make it”.
Once you’re ready to cut your heat transfer vinyl, click “make it”. Mirror you images, click “continue”, select your machine, then select your cutting material.
Cut the design.
When you have the design is cut, weed your design.
Place your towel onto your EasyPress Mat. Place the design onto the towel where you want it. When using two colors of HTV, you can’t always press them at the same time. Because the carrier sheet wasn’t in the way for either layer on this project, I was able to press it all at the same time.
When the EasyPress gets up to temperature, press your design. Check out this guide if you have questions on what temperature to use.
After you apply the heat to the front and back, warm peel the carrier sheets off of the front.
This Grandmas Kitchen Towel – Mother’s Day Gift Idea is such a quick and easy project that grandma is sure to love!
You could use any colors of vinyl to make this match in grandmas kitchen.
