A few months back, I designed this Let’s Stay Home Farmhouse Pillow. I finally got the chance to put it together last week, and the irony of what it says is pretty funny in my opinion. For months, maybe even years now, it seems that people have been using this Let’s Stay Home saying in their homes. Making our homes a place of refuge and a place we all want to be all the time. Now that we are dealing with the world wide pandemic of COVID-19, I think most of us are feeling like all we want to do is not stay home, and we all want to get out of our homes! At least I’m feeling that way some of the time. 🙂 How are you holding up? Even if I’m feeling like this pillow is a little ironic, I’m still in love with the way it turned out! It’s a fun project, and today, I’m going to share with you how I put it together!

Let’s Stay Home Farmhouse Pillow Supplies:
- Cricut Explore Air 2 (These are on sale now through April 25, 2020) or Cricut Maker
- Cricut EasyPress 2
- Cricut EasyPress Mat
- EasyWeed HTV in Green Apple, Coral, and Gray
- Blank Pillow Cover (I get mine at IKEA)
- Weeding Tools
- Let’s Stay Home SVG
- Let’s Stay Home SVG (for Personal Use Only)
Start out by uploading both of the SVG files to Cricut Design Space. Size them to what they need to be for your pillow and the size of your HTV. You may need to slice the designs apart to be able to cut with different colors. Once your design is ready, send it to cut. Make sure you mirror your image!
Once cut, use your weeding hook to weed the designs.
With the wreath, I cut the center section out of the middle so I could save that piece of unused HTV.
Once you have everything cut and weeded, you are ready to place them on to your pillow. If you trim the carrier sheet of each layer so it is close to the designs, then you can place all three layers on the pillow at once.
Place the wreath layer, then place the “Stay” layer then “Let’s Home” layer. Make sure that there is no HTV on top of any carrier sheets, or the HTV will end up stuck to the carrier sheet, not the pillow.
Once everything is in place, you are ready to apply heat. Check the Heat Guide to make sure you have the correct settings for the EasyPress.
Press the design.
Once you’ve pressed it, let it cool, then cool peel the carrier sheet off of the pillow.
Now you have a beautiful (and funny for the current situation) Let’s Stay Home Farmhouse Pillow.
Place a pillow form inside of it and you’re all set.
I was ready to change up some pillows in my living room, so this Let’s Stay Home Farmhouse Pillow is perfect for it!
Doesn’t it look perfect with the gray and white buffalo check pillow?!
So tell me, are you staying home right now? Are you still going to work?
We’ve been staying at home for the most part. My husbands job is essential and so is my sons. They wear protective gear at work and we have only been going out for essentials at the store, at least for the most part. It is an interesting time we are dealing with, that’s for sure! I hope you are all doing well! If you’re looking for more fun pillow projects, then check out my gallery here.
