I guess this week has kind of turned into a Halloween week here on The Happy Scraps. I didn’t mean for that to happen, I’ve just been thinking about Halloween stuff I want to make, so I have. 🙂 Don’t worry though, these won’t be going up for decor until the first of October!
Let me just apologize now for the poor quality of these pictures. I’ve been having some serious photo problems. I try to go outside, so I have natural light and I try to do it when it’s the right time of the day. Well, I don’t have anywhere to hang things outside, so I have to improvise. It’s driving me nuts! Anyway, I guess these will do, just don’t look too close at the background.
Here is the banner that I made today. I used the brand new Halloween line of paper from BoBunny called Whoo-ligans. It’s such a colorful, bright line of paper, and I’m loving it!
When I made my Halloween banner a couple of years ago, I made a chipboard template for the triangles. I pulled that out today to help me with the triangles on this one. For the fan/flower/accordian-looking-paper (not sure what to call it:)) I just cut two strips that were 2.5 in x 12 in and scored them every 1/2 in, then folded them and glued the ends together. I inked the edges of them and I inked the tops. (This is my first try at these fancy things, but they were fun! I think I just might have to try more.)
I used my circle punch for the circle behind the letter, and then I used my Cricut to cut out the letters.
I just LOVE this polka dot paper and all the colors that it has on it. I {heart} polka dots.
I love the dimension that it has!
And to hang it I just figured out where I wanted my ric rac and I used my paper piercer and poked the holes, then put the brad thru the ric rac and the paper. SIMPLE!
The finished product again. 🙂

SOOO cute!! I hope you’ll link up in Scraptastic Saturday tomorrow 🙂

SO SOO Cute!
I love the rosettes, now that you know how to make them you’ll use them all the time. I find I do now! I really like how you inked the sides and folds, I haven’t done that before and really like how it adds some detail and makes them stand out a bit more. Will definitely have to do that next time. Love your decoration! Thank you for joining us at A Crafty Soiree! I hope you’ll come back next week and link up again!
