I decided the beginning of this year that I wanted to re-organize all of my scrapbooking and craft supplies. (as well as my garage which has been taken over with said items) 🙂 I have been working on it all month long. I don’t have much to show for it as I have mostly just been sorting and purging. Lots and lots of purging. One day the hubby and I took 3 boxes and 5 bags full of junk to goodwill. Anyway…it is still a work in progress but I thought I would show you what I ended up doing for my stamps.
You see….I have this problem. I am addicted to buying cute new stamps. I love them and get so excited when I see that new ones have come out. This addiction has made it hard for me to organize. Every time I get a container for them it seems I soon out grew it. I love the stamping up clear boxes they sell, but they just aren’t big enough for my collection. I had stamps stored in 4 separate boxes or drawers and it almost was annoying to want to pull out my stamps. That was a problem that I wanted fixed right away.
I am on a budget so I was trying to come up with an inexpensive but practical way to store my stamps all together. Then…(inspired by those said stampin-up cases) I made my own holders. I took a large Ziploc and put a cut up cereal box in it to add support. Then I added my stamps and had a simple easy to view way to store my stamps.
I still found a good use for the stamp-in up boxes. I grouped my ink with like colors and stored them that way.
