I have been wanting to make a Valentine’s Banner for a while, but just hadn’t gotten to it. I had plenty of other things to be working on and it just wasn’t the priority. Well, last weekend, I finally got the chance to sit down and make one. But when I sat down, I just couldn’t think of what I wanted to do for it. I know what colors I wanted to use, but I couldn’t figure anything else out. Finally it dawned on me that I should use the triangle flags. I knew I could use the one that is about 7 inches tall that I used for my Boo banner, but then I thought I could make a smaller one, and I’m so glad I did. These are about 4 1/2 inches tall. I made all the triangles on my own, I used my cricut for the bracket shapes and hearts.
I added some brads to a few of the flags.
I do love how this banner turned out, but, I do wish I wouldn’t have put black shimmery cardstock behind some of the black glittery thicker’s. It is hard to see in the pictures, but you really can see them ok, in real life. 🙂
I inked the edges of each flag as well as the item on it.
This cute black heart brad was in my stash of Halloween stuff. I was glad I was digging, cause it works on this just perfectly.
I know it’s really hard to see, but this is the “e”.
I used dimension adhesive to adhere most of these things so they would sit up a little bit.
I used the Echo Park Be Mine line of paper AGAIN (I should be a spokesperson for them, tee hee, I just love their paper SO much!) , and I think it just turned out so cute! What do you think?
