I don’t know about anyone else, but I am SO SO ready for Spring! I like snow, but when we get teased with Spring like weather, and then Winter comes back, it’s not really my idea of a good joke. I think here in Utah we need to have an extra season called Sprinter! Anyway, since the weather won’t just stay Spring like, I thought I’d bring Spring inside the house. I got to work and made this cute little Spring framed decor. It’s only a 5 x 7, and I kind of wish I would have made it bigger, but I really like how it turned out, so it’s all good. I used the same frame I used for my {love} framed art, but I’m considering taking some white spray paint to it and then distressing it. We’ll see. I’ll let you know if I do. 🙂
I used Echo Park Paper “Springtime” line to make this, along with some foam thickers from American Crafts.
I had fun cutting out the little butterflies,
and the flowers, tree, and the yellow scalloped border.
Clearly the glass isn’t in this frame, making it so I could add some depth, and I LOVE it! I think it’s fun to be able to have the butterfly wings lifted off the paper.
What kinds of Spring decor have you made?
