Whew!! What a whirl wind of a couple weeks I’ve had. Two weeks ago today, I finished these cute eggs, and why haven’t they been posted, you ask? Well, shortly after I finished them, we decided to go rollerskating for school spirit night. We’d been there with our skates on for about 10 minutes when I took a spill, hit the back of my head hard, and we left so I could go get it check out. After going to the ER and having a CT scan, we found everything was okay, I just had a headache and whiplash. I’m nearly over all of it now. 🙂 Then last week, my hubby was home all week, and we were working on things around the house, and we also got a new computer! 🙂 Exciting day at our house, the computer that we replaced, was 9 1/2 years old. We got it the first Christmas we were married…so needless to say, I’m having to adjust to a much faster computer, lol! Then came taking the time to figure out this new computer. I had to hunt down fonts (that weren’t transferred), and put all kinds of software on it. I *think* it’s all ready to go now! 🙂 I’m having to adjust to the differences between Windows XP and Windows 7. If you have any tips for a new Window 7 user, send them my way.
Anyway, lets get on to what we came to see, right? I picked up these unfinished eggs at The Wood Connection. I was so excited to come home and adhere some of the cute Echo Park Springtime collection to them.
Once I got started, I just kept thinking of fun things I could do. I started by painting the edges white. I got out my Plantin’ School Book cartridge for my Cricut and cut out the grass, and also the squiggly lines for the eggs.
I just used Mod Podge to adhere everything.
Isn’t the grass fun!? I made the grass the same length on each egg, but after all was done, I wish I would have made it a little taller, but I still love them!
Now if only I was talented enough to make real Easter eggs look like this, right?
Have you been working on any Easter Decor? I do have some letters that spell EGGS that I’ve been working on, I started on them the same Tuesday that I did these eggs. I hope to finish them soon.
Watch for these fun posts coming soon! I have a Spring Apron, the April Calendar, more Easter Decor, and I’m hoping that by the time Easter gets here, I’m able to get some Ties sewn for my 4 little boys! See if I post it on here, then I will feel more like it HAS to be done, lol! So hold me to it! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by for a visit! If you like what you see, become a follower and leave a comment!
