Have you put up your 4th of July decor yet? I was talking to my sister a couple of days ago, and we were discussing how the 4th of July always seems to sneak up on us. For some reason for me, it seems like I can’t put 4th decor up until July…but if I wait til then, then it’s only up for a few days! Since she and I had talked about it, I thought I better find all my stuff and get it out. I got my Star hung on my front door, put up this banner and this one as well. I got my fire crackers out, and I also found a place to put my USA letters. {I hope to post some pictures soon.} Then I used some buckets I already had {found them in the $1 spot at Target}, and made this out of them.
Using my Cricut I cut out the stars, and the vinyl for the buckets. They say Stars & Stripes, cut out of the Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge. The buckets are kinda small, and it was hard to get the vinyl to all be visible from the front. I still LOVE how they turned out though.
I was just going to put regular stars on all the skewers, but then I remembered this tutorial, and decided to make a few of the 3D stars. And they were SO easy to make!
The buckets already had a star cut in them, so I just used some cardstock and put it inside to make the star stand out {and to hide the floral foam :)}.
This project was SO SO easy, and I LOVE how it turned out! It makes me think of fireworks. I’m excited for the 4th of July this year. We aren’t doing the norm this year, we are going to stay home and see what our city does for the festivities. It should be fun! What are your plans for the 4th of July?

I love patriotic things and this is a super cute decorating idea! Thanks for sharing!

love your decor! happy 4th!
I love love love these.. I usually start to decorate on Memorial Day (it’s kind of the theme right?!) and then I will Keep the decor up until July 5th and at that point I will start my “summer” decor. I really need a whole month to really enjoy the decorations and Memorial Day seems to be a great starting point. I usually start little, some red white and blue, flags, ect.. and as we get closer to July I will add things that state “4th of July”.
Yes, Memorial Day is a great time to start decorating with red, white, and blue.
