I’ve been pretty excited about summer getting here. Have you? Do you remember a couple of months ago when I showed you my Spring blocks? Well, I knew that I wanted to use the back to make some summer blocks. I was excited to finally sit down and take the time to do it. I kept these pretty simple. I used one line of paper (I actually won this pack of paper from a Facebook contest!) that coordinates, so I didn’t have to match papers together. To cut the letters with my Doodletype Cricut cartridge, I used the backs of the papers too. I also had a sheet of stickers that matched the paper. I mounted them on chipboard and then cut them out and used them for chipboard embellishments. I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the blocks and I coated the top of the papers with it as well.
I have it sitting on this table in my living room, underneath the front window with my Paper Pinwheels, and seeing these make me happy. 🙂
Have you made any summer decor? I’d love to see it! Post a picture with a link to it on our facebook page, and I’ll pick some favorites to feature here on the blog.
Also, I’ve been busy the last few days working on some more scrapbook page layouts. I can’t wait to show them to you, so stay tuned!
