It’s not everyday that scrapbookers get to visit one of their all time favorite brands! Debbie and I pretty much love all things scrapbooking. Debbie’s uncle owns American Crafts, so a couple of years ago, she got it set up for her and I to go for a visit. It was sooo awesome! I never dreamed that I’d be able to go on a tour of one of my favorite companies, AND with my best friend. Could it really get any better?! I think not!
We were able to go on a tour and see everything from where they work on new designs to how their pens are made. It was very intriguing. After the tour, Debbie’s uncle gave us both a box and let us pick out some goodies to take home.
This is the page that I came up with to document it all. All of the supplies used are American Crafts, with the exception of the ink and the adhesive.
After I got the page all laid out I didn’t really have a spot for my journaling, but I knew I wanted to tell about what we did. So I journaled my thoughts as the border. It worked out well, I’ve only done this technique a few times, and I think I might just do it more now.
I used this fun chipboard arrow to point to our boxes of goods!
I love how this page turned out, but even more I love that this fun memory of spending time with Debbie is documented. 🙂
Documenting, isn’t that what scrapbooking is all about? And it doesn’t have to be elaborate either.
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the 200 follower giveaway, I have something in mind, but I haven’t picked it up yet, so be patient with me…but I hope you’ll come and enter when it’s ready!
