Today, I sat down to finish a few things I’ve been working on, and ended up starting a new project all together! Isn’t that how it goes?! This is what I ended up making.I had a scrap piece of bead board {left over from this project} that was 7 1/2 inches tall by 20 inches wide.
I painted it orange. I know, orange bead board…kind of a stretch. I only gave it one coat, letting the streaks from the paint add some character. Then I sprayed it with a sealer that made it look a little bit shiny.
Then, using my Cricut and Stamped cartridge, I cut some black vinyl at 6 inches tall. And stuck it on. I also used some black paint and a sponge paint brush to distress the edges. I’ve never used paint to distress before, so it was a learning experience, a technique that will take some practice for sure!
….and I’m so excited with the way it turned out!!! {Even if it is a little bit neon! And it looks more neon on the computer, for that matter…Ha!}
Come back in a day or two to see where I put this sign!
