The other day while shopping at The Wood Connection, I asked my five year old if he wanted to pick something out for him and his brothers to do as a Christmas craft. He picked out these fun trees that make me think of Dr. Seuss. 🙂 With a little bit of guidance from mom, my boys did these. They painted the tree part the color to match the glitter they picked out, and then we let the paint dry. After that, I helped them coat the tree fronts with Mod Podge and dumped the glitter on. They were all pretty excited about it.
I LOVE the glitter on all of them, but I think this one is my favorite. Glitter is so much more fun to use when you can get it to do what you want it to do.
It may have been hard for me and my OCD to let my boys do this project, but it was worth it! They love to look at their trees and know that they made them! And now that they are done, my OCD is back under control, lol! Although, I may tie a ribbon or two around some of the trunks…
So what do you think, do they look like Dr. Seuss trees to you?

Those trees are super cute. Your boys did a great job!
These are SUPER DUPER cute! I love the whimsical feeling of them. They would be adorable on the mantel or on the porch, assuming the weather isn’t too bad.
