After I made my Lucky Block, I decided that I wanted to make some more simple and cute wood block decorations for my home. I headed to The Wood Connection to pick up some of these wood blocks. This one is 5 1/2 inches square, but they have a few different sizes. When thinking about what I wanted to put on a block for springtime, all I could really think about was “Bloom” and that makes me think of “Bloom where you are planted.” I’m not really a fan of that saying, so I couldn’t bring myself to make something that says “bloom” on it. 🙂 SO, I decided to go with the word GROW.
I wanted to bring some color into the house, so I chose to use bright colors. I started by picking out my papers, and then I painted the wood block. Then I used some glue and put my paper on the block.
I used my Cricut with the Stamped cartridge to cut the flower and letters for the word GROW. I just cut both of them out of cardstock. Then glued them on.
I added a button to the center of the flower to add a little more dimension and color.
And I finished it off by tying some ribbon around it! {When I saw this ribbon, I got some of three different colors! I ♥ it!}
