Do you know what you are giving your mom for mother’s day this year? I wanted to come up with a gift that could be enjoyed my mother’s of all ages. Those that have little kids, those that have teenagers, or those that have grown kids that don’t live at home anymore. I thought about what I might like to get for Mother’s day, and I also asked my mom and mother-in-law for ideas, and what types of things they liked, and this is what I came up with.
Wouldn’t you love to be pampered or take a break when you have a few minutes? I know I would, and I know of others that would as well. So tell your husbands, and let them know that you want to be pampered.
I picked up the supplies for an at home pedicure. Confession, I’ve never actually had a pedicure…at least one that I’ve paid for. My husband has given me one before at home (isn’t he the sweetest!) but I’ve never gone anywhere to get one. I thought that some foot scrub, a pumice stone, a nail file, and some nail polish were all great parts of having a pedicure.
I put them in a cellophane bag, and tied it up with bakers twine. I seriously love using bakers twine, it adds just enough cuteness, but it’s easy to work with and it’s inexpensive too.
Bath salts and milk bath would help anyone relax, wouldn’t it?! Especially if you have a nice big bath tub. One day I’ll have one of those. 🙂 Using my Cricut, I cut out some fun labels for these cute jars that I had, and then I filled them with some bath salts and milk bath.

I had a hard time coming up with what to call this project. I finally settled on it being a “Time Out for Mom” gift. So, on the bucket, using the Cricut again, I cut out a label to match the others. I also tied baker’s twine around the bucket.
When I was putting this gift together, I had someone specific in mind, so I picked up a sewing magazine that I thought she would like. I know I always enjoy reading a fun magazine. Chocolate is always a good addition to anything, isn’t it? I don’t know any mom that wouldn’t want to “take 5”.
What do you think? Do you know someone who would love a gift like this? If you are giving it to someone that has small kids, you could even include a coupon to watch their kids for them so they can have a break.

What a wonderful Mother’s day gift! I want one myself!! LOL Truly a great idea. 😉

I love this idea! I have done similar baskets before, but yours is so much cuter with all the personalized labels. I love the “time out for mom” – it is very fitting. 🙂

This is so awesome! I think a lot of people have done stuff like this, but the cellophane and vinyl decals give it a really upscale touch.
