My kids are just getting out of school this week. I feel like there are the last one in the country to get out, although I know they are not. For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to come up with a gift that I could give their teachers at the end of the year. I wanted to give them something that they would enjoy, and not just have it sit somewhere being useless, or that would go into a stash of “I have 100 of these.” I’ve asked some of my kids teachers for ideas of things that they like to receive and one of the suggestions was chocolate. So that is what I went with. I spent some time in the kitchen and made some yummy Oreo Truffles. If you have never had these, you are missing out!
Between all of my kids teachers, and the aides in their classes, I have nine teachers/aides to thank and three bus drivers. I think a lot of times the aides and bus drivers are forgotten, but I know for me, I really appreciate all the hard work that they do. One of my boys went to school everyday this year, a half hour early, and worked with two teacher aides for a reading group. He wouldn’t be able to read like he does if it wasn’t for these women.
I made up some tags and printed them out. Hand cut the circle and tied it to the treat bags with some twine.
I even have the printable for you. There are eight teacher tags, and four different bus driver tags. Download the file here.
This download is for personal use only.
These came together so quickly, and the teachers that received them today were pretty excited about them.
Now to go finish making the second batch of the truffles. 🙂
