Do you have Christmas Traditions that you enjoy with your family each year? One of my very favorite things to do is take my kids to downtown Salt Lake City and go to Temple Square during the Christmas season. I love to go to Temple Square any time of the year, but it is so fun to see it all lit up during Christmastime, and to see the Nativity scenes that they share as well. Today I thought I would share with you a little bit from our visit.
This is my family, all bundled up last week visiting Temple Square. It was 15 degrees outside, and oh I.WAS.FREEZING.
They have a beautiful Nativity that they set up each year, along with all of the Christmas Lights.
I couldn’t help myself from taking several pictures of the Salt Lake Temple. This is where my husband and I were married, over 12 years ago, and every time I see it in person, it still takes my breath away.
I have a friend who is actually in charge of getting all the lights put up at Temple Square. When I found this out a couple of weeks ago, I was asking her all sorts of questions. It was so fun to talk to her about it all. She wouldn’t tell me how many lights they have, but it was still fun to hear about some of the details.
I love these bags that they have in one area. I think they are so pretty. It makes me wish I had the patience to make myself some bags like this.
Here are all of my boys, just before we headed to the car to get warm. I’m a pretty lucky mom!
If you live near Salt Lake or are ever around during December, Temple Square with the lights is a site that you don’t want to miss! If you are interested in finding out more about the LDS Church (Mormon, yes, I am one) you can visit Mormon.org, or LDS.org. I’d be happy to try and answer any questions you might have as well.
