I’m sharing a fun project over at The Cards We Drew today as part of her Maternity leave. I’d love to have you head on over there and check it out. If you are visiting from The Cards We Drew, Welcome, I’m glad you’ve come to visit.
I’ve been thinking about making a Fun Spring Banner for a few weeks. When I started looking at different paper to try and decided what I wanted to use, I came across the fun and cute Now & Then, Dorothy line from My Mind’s Eye. I fell in love with it and knew that it would be perfect to make a Spring banner with. My Mind’s Eye sent me some to play with, and boy did I have fun with it!
I used my Cricut machine to cut out all the fun little flags, and mini banners. Once I had them all cut, I started gluing it all together. I used foam pop dots for parts of it to give it more dimension.
I decided to make some paper pinwheels too. They were so easy to make, but I love what they add to the banner.
I wondered if it would be too much to have mini banners on the banner flags, but I decided that I didn’t care, because I love banners, so the more the merrier, right?
I’ve never made a banner with smaller flags in between the larger ones, I this probably won’t be the last time I do it. I love what it adds to the banner.
I wanted each little flag to say something different, so after looking over the stickers sheets, I thought about what I could put on each banner. I thought the ones I came up with were appropriate for Springtime.
I’m looking forward to hanging this up for Spring time once St. Patrick’s day passes. The colors in this banner are so fun, I could leave it up all summer long as well.
If you haven’t ever had the chance to play with My Mind’s Eye paper, you need to. It is one of my most favorite brands of paper, and you can get some of the paper prints in fabric as well. I’ve used both their paper and fabric in several projects and I love it!
