Seeing all the cute Halloween stuff around blogland has really made me want to create some Halloween decor. I wasn’t sure what I was going to make, and then I saw a cute idea in the current Stampin’ Up catalog. They made a wreath out of ribbon. I couldn’t hardly get home fast enough to start on mine! 🙂 And in the end, this is how it turned out, and I love it!
First, I went searching for this ring. I found it at JoAnn’s.
I bought a couple rolls of ribbon, one purple, and one yellow (I knew I didn’t have much of either color) and then I went and dug into my stash of ribbon at home.
I started cutting the ribbon and tying it on. I chose to singe/burn the edges of some of the ribbon to prevent it from fraying, but I like that it added some black to the ends of the orange.
I got lots of ribbon on there, and squished it together. This little project took A LOT more ribbon than I thought it would!
And here is the finished product! I can’t wait til it get a little closer to Halloween so I can hang it on my front door!
