I have always wanted to take my little boys to Disneyland. I think they are at the perfect age to go (7, 6, 4, 1) and I really want to take them. Disneyland for me has always kind of seemed like an unobtainable goal. It just seems like it would cost so much more than we could ever afford. Well, I’ve been talking with Debbie, and we’ve been talking about making a trip together. It’s gotten me excited about it, and I thought I would tell my kids and get them excited about it too.
I was trying to think of what kind of container I had that would work well to save in, and not look totally recycled. I remembered this jar we have, and I quickly emptied it out.
I took all the labels off…
And started decorating with things I’d cut with my cricut.
I have had a Mickey and Friends cartridge for my cricut for a few years, and I’ve hardly ever used it. I was so excited to make this cute Mickey with it!
I used my Making the Grade cartridge to cut the letters.
And to finish it all off, I used the drill to make the whole in the lid to be able to put money into it. I’m so excited, and I can’t wait to save up enough money to head to California!!

What a fun idea, I may have to steal it from you, or have you cut me out a cute Mickey Mouse, we are too thinking of taking a trip at the end of the year! 🙂
