These layouts have a tender place in my heart. All of the photos used in both layouts are from January 2008. The pictures are of two of my boys with Grandpa. My dad. Less than a year after these pictures were taken, he passed away from colon cancer. When I look at these pictures and can see the fun my boys are having with him, it tugs at my heart strings, and I wish they could still play like that. I worry that the older that my boys get, they won’t remember him.
I really like the way both of these layouts turned out! As you can see there is no journaling on the layouts. I wrote some of my feelings on the back of the page.
I’m so glad that I do have pictures like these of my boys playing with their grandpa! I hope that by me documenting times like these that my boys will have an easier time remembering their grandpa, even if it is just from looking at pictures!

Their facial expressions say it all! I love these Amy
This to me exactly what scrapbooking is all about. Making sure you always hold on to the tender moments in life. Well done Amy!
So cute! I love them both, I bet your boys will want copies when they are older! 🙂
Great layouts! Precious memories!
My mom and stepdad were a big part of my daughters life before they passed away. I really need to get to scrappin’ those pictures for her.
These are wonderful and really the main reason, in my mind for scrapbooking. So glad you were able to celebrate these moments with your Dad. Even if the boys have a hard time remembering him, they’ll see these pictures and see the love he had for them.
These are so so cute! I love that big bracket you used. Thanks so much for linking up to scrapbook sundays! I’ll be featuring you tomorrow!
