Childs Quilt–Sneak Peek!

Riley Blake All Star fabric is one of my favorites!! There are a few different lines of it, and I love it all! I found these fabrics with the blues, greens, and brown, and fell completely in love! I just love how fun the fabric is, and it just say ALL BOY to me. So I decided I’d make a quilt for my almost 2 year old son out of it. I pieced the quilt top and the bottom, then put it all together, and started the free motion quilting on it. It was fun, but the FMQ was a lot of work. I still need to do the binding {wish me luck!}, but I thought I’d share a sneak peek. This is the top with some of the back folded over so you can see it too.

And this is a close up of the quilting, on the back. While my quilting is no where near perfect, I think I did pretty good for not having a lot of practice at this. 🙂

Have you ever FMQ something on your machine? It’s fun and addicting!

I have something so exciting to share later this week, I can hardly stand it! So stay tuned!!

Great job on the FMQ! I love your fabrics and how well they go together. I must confess, I’ve never done a quilt for a little boy but your quilt is inspiring along with the fabrics! So glad you posted this!
