A couple of years ago, it seems like a lot of my friends were having babies and I got the chance to give baby gifts more often. More recently I haven’t had the chance as much. And when I have had baby gifts to give, I’m out of cards in my stash, to go with the gift. Well recently, I did get the chance to go to a baby shower, so I sat down to make a card first. This is what I came up with. I used my Cricut and the Doodlecharms cartridge to cut the ducks. This card is SO simple, and I adore how it turned out. This is a slightly different version, with a different colored twine for a boy.
I made a few extras, and left the baker’s twine off, so I can make them for boys or girls when needed.
Then I decided that I’d make a gift bag to match. I cut more ducks, at a little bigger size and put them on with dimension squares.
Since the gift is for a baby girl, I cut the word baby out of pink and put it in the corner like the cards. The border is hand drawn with a black pen.
Very easy, and cute!
For the gift, I threw together a set of cloth diaper burp cloths. I’ve made these several times before, but it’s been a long time. They always come together so quickly, I should just make a bunch to have on hand. 🙂 If you’d like to know how I make them, here is my tutorial. 🙂
I rolled them all up and tied them with some small white ric rac.
And then put them in the gift bag.
I hope mom and baby like them. These were my favorite kind of burp cloths when my babies were little!

You know how I feel about your burp cloths…that was always my favorite gift to get…handmade burpcloths that absorb..THE BEST!
And I love how simply yet adorable that duck card is.
so cute I wish I were talented like you
that is soooo sweet, cute and quick and easy!!! I love it!!!!
I went to a baby shower this past weekend and the mommy was given some burp clothes like these and I fell in love. When I have a baby this is definitly something I want!! They are sooo cute and I’ve heard they work great!
What a sweet gift…from the wrapping to the contents. One can never have enough cute burpies! 🙂
I love that you pre-made some of those cute cards and left the twine off for now. So smart. I love how any of your sewing project are just a matter of “I just threw them together” for me it’s, I pulled out my sewing machine couldn’t get the bobbin just right, pulled my hair out, cried and called my mom for some help. haha It’s so cute how you rolled them and tied them with ric rac. LOVE IT!!!!
