These {Family} letters have been a LONG time coming!! I bought these about a year and a half ago! I know, crazy huh!! I finished them TODAY ! No project, especially this easy, should take that long. But it has, and I’m glad to have them done. 🙂
This is another project I picked up from The Wood Connection. I saw the same set at my friends house, and knew that I wanted some. A few months ago, I was trying to paint them. I don’t know if it was too cold or what, but my spray paint wouldn’t stick to the wood. It would run down it, and puddle at the bottom. So I waited until it was warmer weather, and got them painted, and then they sat. And sat some more. Until last week. I finally pulled some paper out and got to work. This fun paper is from American Crafts. I cut the paper how it needed it, used Mod Podge to adhere and seal the paper, then sanded the edges to get it just right.
I used glitter on the heart of the “a” and the dot of the “i” and put ribbon on the solid colored ones.
And for now, I think I’ll keep them on the little shelf I have in my kitchen. Here in a couple of weeks, they might get put away until after the first of the year. I just don’t have enough places to decorate, so when I have holiday decor out, my regular stuff gets put away. 🙂
