Last week, my husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary! I almost can’t believe that we’ve been married 10 years and known each other for 11. It’s gone by fast. This year I didn’t just want to go to the store and find something I thought he’d like, I wanted to make something that I thought he’d appreciate more. A month or so ago, we were at Temple Square with our friends, the Moody’s and my husband snapped this picture. Since this Temple is where we were married, I thought it would be fun to incorporate into the gift for my husband.I quickly opened it up in Photoshop and added our names and the date we were married.
I sent the photo off to be printed at Costco, while I painted the wood block. I went and picked up the picture and put it on, and then put a top coat of Mod Podge on it to seal it as well. I love how quickly this all came together too!
And…my husband thought it was a great gift!

Amy! I made something similar for my husband for our 15th! Only instead of using a wood block, I used a canvas. So beautiful, and congratulations on 10 years!
