If you follow along on Facebook, then you probably know that I as of about 5 pm last night, I was just getting started on the valentines for my boys to hand out in their classes. We’ve always bought the pre-made valentines, but this year when Debbie was up for my birthday, we went shopping and found some cute stamps, so I thought I’d make some. Then this ♥ day snuck up on me and I was working on these things last minute last night. Every one finally got to bed around 10:30 last night. Yes, my boys were up LATE, but all those valentines were filled out and signed! And this morning, they were off to school.
We kept them VERY simple. My original plan was to let my boys stamp all of them, but because of time that didn’t happen. I was stamping while dad took the kids to the store to find the treat to put with them. I just stamped an image on white cardstock, and then mounted it on some red with enough room to write. Some of the boys got these “too cool” cards…
and some got these “you wind me up” with the robot on them.
All of the girls got these. I think this stamp is adorable.
Then on the back, we tape these on.
My boys were pretty excited to take these off to school today and hand them out to all their friends. I’m just glad they were okay with the home made valentines, even though they weren’t anything special to look at.
