Real quick, did you hear? Google Reader is saying goodbye come July, so find an alternative now! I hear that Feedly is a great choice (I personally haven’t looked into it yet), but here is a great article about some other sites to use as well.
I’m so excited to share this with you today! This is a project that I designed. I had the help of The Wood Connection to provide me with the wood, I just took in some drawings of the shapes that I wanted and they cut them out! I love this line of paper from Echo Park and I knew it would be the perfect paper to use on this project.
For the board, I started by painting the edges gray, and then painting the whole board white. Once all my paint was dry, I distressed the edges using some fine sandpaper, revealing the gray paint.
I love the shape of this board, it adds just the right touch to the banner.
On the wood banner pieces after I glued the paper down, I used a gray ink pad to color the edges.
I cut the letters and flowers out, using my Cricut. The font I used is Cherry Limeade. It is one of my new very favorite fonts! I used dimension squares to adhere the letters, and then I used glue dots to put the flowers on.
Once I had all the banner pieces put together, I used gray and white bakers twine to string the pieces. Then I just used some masking tape and taped the banner strings to the back of the board.
So what do you think?! I love having this up in my house for Spring time! I love the color that it brings in!
Have you decorated for Spring yet?
