I’m kind of excited that I got asked to be in charge of the Student and Teacher Birthday gifts and the birthday bulletin board for the PTA at our school this year. It is a little bit tricky to come up with a birthday gift for 350+ students, on a tight budget, but I got it figured out. This time of year is perfect for buying school supplies, so that is what I did. I currently have a really large pile of colored pencils and composition notebooks taking up space in my bedroom. As soon as I can get them all put together, I’ll be taking them to the school to store for the year though.
Once I had all of the parts of the gift together, the composition notebook, colored pencils, and the Chick-fil-a Kid’s Meal coupon, I was ready to put these together.
I printed out the printable and made copies of it so I had enough (mine says it’s from our school PTA). If you’d like to print some of these tags out for yourself, I’ve kept them very generic, and left a space for you to write who it is from.
This is the bulletin board for the July and August birthdays. I’m excited to do these each month, I think it will be so much fun! I used my Cricut Expression for parts of these, the month names, sun, “fun in the sun”, school house and “back to school”. Oh, and the crayon border too. It was fun to do.
I know my kids are excited about these gifts and the bulletin board, so I hope the rest of the school is too. 🙂

This is way cool and I love the washi+twine holding it all together! Seriously, the idea of a comp book+colored pencils is a great birthday gift. We used to get school logo pencils. 😛
Amy I just love how these turned out – so cute!
