I’m so excited to be part of the 30 Days of Halloween over at Cupcake Diaries! There are so many fun projects that have already been shared as a part of this series, and I’m sure there will be many more!
I’m excited to share this fun Halloween Door Hang with you. This was seriously so fun and easy to make! The things that made it so fun for me, were doing a different technique than I’ve ever done, and designing the vinyl for it.
I started off with my round board. After I lightly sanded it, I painted the edges orange. Once that was dry, I gave the board about 3 coats of white paint. Then I started playing with painter’s tape. I taped off where I wanted the gray paint. With this project, I was totally winging it. After painting my spaces gray, I took the tape off, and was left with just some triangular shapes on the sides of my board. SO I then took more tape and made some small lines and painted them gray as well. I was going for the mummy look.
Once all my paint was dry, I sanded the edges to reveal some of the orange paint.
Using Cricut Craft Room, I designed this vinyl and cut it out with my Cricut Expression. Aren’t these fonts fun?!
Once I had my vinyl put on, I cut my slit in the top. I would recommend doing this very first, before you start painting. I wasn’t planning on it hanging when I started painting, other wise I would have cut my hole first.
Make sure to head on over to Cupcake Diaries to check out all of the other fun projects as part of the 30 Days of Halloween Series.

This is so cute, Amy! I need to play more with my Cricut 🙂 Hope you’re well! Hugs!
