This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. I’m one that procrastinates quite well, so as you can imagine, I’m just getting around to sharing this Teacher Appreciation Gift with you, because I just finished them this morning. Ha! I wouldn’t say that I work well under pressure, I actually get stressed easily, but in this case, I was trying to think about what I could do all last week, and came up with nothing. Yesterday I thought of a saying I could put on a printable, and I got started, but didn’t get the printable finished until this morning. Anyway, these kinds of teacher gifts are my favorite for a couple of reasons. They are useful, practical, go together quickly, and the teachers love them.

To put this together, you just need a couple of things. You’ll need dry erase markers, any pack will work, but the printable was made to fit a four pack, and you’ll need some baker’s twine. I used gray, but you could use any color you have on hand. You’ll also need the printable that you can download here. (Printables shared on The Happy Scraps are for personal use only.)
Print out your tags, and start cutting them apart.
Once you have them cut, punch out the circle with a hole punch.
Grab your twine. I doubled mine up, and then cut it. Tie your tag to the front of the markers, and then, if you’d like, secure the tag to the front with some glue dots. I stuck mine down so it would stay in place.
See how easy that was?! I gave two packs to each teacher, so they would get eight different colors, but it would work to just do one. Also, as a side note, the best time I’ve found to purchase these markers is in July/August when the stores are having the back to school sales on school supplies. 😉 That is when I like to stock up!
