I’ve been trying so hard to stay on a schedule with blogging, but this week has been crazy! We had the last day of school on Wednesday, but it just seems like I’ve had something going every day, and haven’t had the time I’ve needed to get some stuff done. I don’t normally post on Saturday, but I thought I’d share this Father’s Day Gift idea with you today. I think it’s a fun one!
For some reason, I always struggle with what to do for Father’s Day. I never know what to get my husband or father-in-law! It seems like I always end up asking him what he wants, so he never gets a surprise. This year, I still don’t know what I’m going to give to him, but I’ll get it figured out before the day gets here. Today I’m sharing this simple Father’s Day Gift idea for the golfer in your life. At Christmas time some friends gave us this container with some goodies in it, and I’ve kept it to use for something, and a couple of weeks ago, I realized that it would be perfect to use to give a Father’s Day Gift. All you need to do is add some paper, and put the gift inside. I put golf stuff inside (because we had some around the house that is new), but you could put tools, treats, or something else in it that your dad/husband loves.
Using some fun Echo Park paper, I wrapped it around the container. It didn’t quite go all the way around, so I had to add a little bit of paper. For the center strip, it didn’t go all the way around either, but the circle covers the seam, so I didn’t have to add to that one. I did ink the edges of the paper before I attached it. Using my Cricut, I found some images and designed and cut out the Happy Father’s Day, tie, and circle on coordinating cardstock. I used my Xyron to adhere everything but the long strips that go around the container.
I also cut out a circle to put on the lid. Luckily the lid was already a silver/gray color, so it already matched, but I thought it would be fun to put coordinating paper on it as well.
I threw in some golf tee’s and golf balls into the bottom, and then put a golf towel in the top.
The fit perfectly in the container.
If the husband or dad in your life is a golfer, this would be the perfect gift, but if not, find something else to put in a fun container like this one. I’d love to hear what you like to give as a gift for Father’s Day. I may need ideas. 😉 If you are still looking for ideas, I have a couple more you can see here.
