Pumpkin Carving. Either you love it or you hate it. I don’t mind carving pumpkins most years, but when helping kids carve pumpkins, it can take a while, so by the time I get around to carving my own, I’m usually ready to be done. Well, this year, I carved my pumpkin first, and it was by far the easiest pumpkin ever! It was so quick and easy, using the Rockwell Sonicrafter.

When Rockwell offered to send me a Sonicrafter F30 to carve a pumpkin with, I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical. I was thinking, “How am I going to carve a pumpkin with that?” and “Is it really going to be easier than using the pumpkin carving tools?” Well, I’ll tell you what, this little gadget surprised me! I had used the Sonicrafter previously for sanding my Witch sign, and I was impressed with it then, but now that I’ve carved a pumpkin? Oh, Wow! Awesome!
I headed outside and got my stuff all set up.
I cut the hole in the top of the pumpkin and cleaned off the pumpkin seeds and things.
Draw your design on your pumpkin, or you could just go for it, either way. I decided to do Geometric shapes on my pumpkin.
Then I started cutting. You guys! This was SO fast! It cut like a knife in soft butter! I was doing straight lines, which you could do for a regular Jack-o-lantern face, but it went SO quickly. Once the pumpkin was cleaned out, I had this thing carved in under 10 minutes.
I was worried that once I had it cut that I was going to have to work to get the cut area out, but it popped right out. SO easy!
Here it is all done.
We threw some glow sticks in it, and it was all ready to display. I really am amazed at how well this little tool carved this pumpkin!
If you want to carve a pumpkin the easy way, then get yourself one of these Sonicrafter F30 tools and take a few minutes and carve a pumpkin!
Now your pumpkin is already to sit on your porch and greet Trick-or-Treaters! I know we’ll have to carve more pumpkins before Halloween at our house, and I know how I’m going to be doing it!
