When I was working on my Neutral Christmas Decor, I had the thought that I wanted to stencil a box wood wreath onto a slat sign. It may not have turned out to be a box wood wreath, but I do love the way it turned out. Today, I’m sharing this Wreath Slat Sign tutorial with you.
Using Cricut Design Space and the Cricut Explore machine, I found this image and cut it out of vinyl.
I got my slat wood board ready by sanding it and painting it a tan color. Once the tan paint was dry, I put the vinyl on the sign.
I started painting the white over the top of the vinyl.
I painted a least a couple of coats of white over the top.
I let it dry briefly before I peeled up the stencil. Some of the cracks in the board had a little bit of paint in them, so I cleaned that up before it was completely dry.
Once the board was all the way dry, I lightly distressed it.
I distressed the edges, and over the top of all the paint.
Then I put it up on the shelf, next to the 25 numbers.
I love what it adds up on the shelf with the other Neutral Christmas Decor.

I absolutely love this! It just looks so beautiful! You did a great job on this, definately pinning!
This is so pretty! I’d like to try something similar, where did you find the slat board?? I love it!!
Thank you! I got mine from The Wood Connection, a local store in the Salt Lake Valley. You can order them online. I used the small size at this link. http://thewoodconnection.com/horizontal-slat-sign/
Thanks so much!!
