This is a project that I previously shared over on the Pebbles Inc Blog.
Have you ever had a line of paper, that is just so pretty, but you just aren’t sure how you are going to use it? That is how I felt about this Home + Made Cottage Living Collection from Jen Hadfield of Tatertots & Jello. It is so pretty, I could look at it all day long, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to make with it. Well, I ended up making this Happy Decor Board, and guess what, I do get to look at it quite often. I have it hanging in my creative space.
The Home + Made line has several different elements that go along with them. One of the fun things are these Alphabet Banner pieces. I started out by trimming them down to the size I wanted.
I trimmed them to be about 2” x 3 7/8”, trimming some off of all sides.
I picked out some patterned papers from the 6” x 6” Cottage Living paper pad and trimmed them to be 3” x 4 1/2”. See, isn’t this paper SO pretty?!
Using the Oversized Gold Paperclips I attached the patterned paper and alphabet banner pieces together.
Using my Cuttlebug, the die for the Polaroid frame and some white cardstock, I cut out five frames.
Then I sprayed the frames with the gold glitter spray. You guys! This stuff is amazing! It is so fun to add a little glam to whatever you are working on.
Next, I attached the gold sprayed frames to the back of my alphabet banner and patterned paper pieces.
Now you are ready to attach them to a board. I grabbed a board that I had on hand and stained it. Then I used adhesive to adhere my pieces right to the board. I love the way the stained board looks behind the letters.
Isn’t the glitter spray so fun?!
What kind of fun phrase would you make with your alphabet banner pieces?
