Summer time. When the kids get bored, and parents are looking for activities to entertain them with. Today, I’m sharing this Kids Craft – DIY Lacing Cards with you. This is a fun project that the kids could help you make, or you could put them together and then the kids could enjoy playing with them.

To create these DIY Lacing Cards you’ll need:
- Chipboard (a cereal box works great!)
- Colored Cardstock
- Lacing Strings
- Hole Punch
- Xyron or other adhesive
- Cricut Explore Machine (optional)
Start out by cutting your chipboard and cardstock into the shapes that you want. I used my digital die cutting machine for this, but you could easily hand cut the shapes as well.
After you have all your chipboard and cardstock cut, you are ready to assemble them.
I ran the cardstock through my Xyron sticker maker, to make them sticky. You could also use a glue stick for this.
Next, I adhered the cardstock to the front of the chipboard.
Now you are ready to punch your holes.
Go all the way around until all the holes are punched.
Now they are ready to have the lacing strings put through the holes. The kids will love lacing these sea shapes!
What other kinds of fun things have you done with your kids this summer?
