Do you decorate for Winter time, or do you go straight from Christmas decor to Valentine’s Day decor? I like to decorate for Winter, and recently I shared this Winter Snowflake Banner on the Darice blog. Today I’m sharing it here with you.

The supplies you’ll need for this project are:
- Banner Punch Board (This thing is life changing! I LOVE it!)
- White Glittered Paper (You can get it by the sheet at JoAnn.)
- Snowflake Dies (here and here)
- Adhesive Backed Glitter Paper
- Baker’s Twine
- Cuttlebug
Place your snowflake dies cut side up on your Cuttlebug mats.
Place your glitter paper glitter side down on the dies, then create your sandwich for the Cuttlebug. Roll through the machine. I rolled mine 3-4 times to make sure it cut. The glitter paper is harder to cut than regular paper.
Once you pull out your die cuts, you should have something that looks like this. Because the glitter paper is adhesive backed + glitter, I had to carefully remove each snowflake. They didn’t just come right out from being cut.
Using the banner punch board, I cut two different shapes for my banner.
One of my favorite parts about the banner punch board is that it has the spot to punch the holes in the top corners right on the punch board. These flags and triangles are the shapes I decided to use for this banner.
I used my snowflakes on each banner piece, using anywhere from one to three on each. The glitter is what makes these so fun!
Using my silver and white baker’s twine, I strung my banner pieces together.
Aren’t these sparkly snowflakes so fun?!
I really love the way this banner turned out, and it’s one that I can put up in December and leave out at least until the end of January, if not longer.
Which snowflake shape is your favorite? I don’t know if I could choose, I really like them all on this Winter Snowflake Banner.
What is your favorite way to decorate for winter time?
