Everyone likes a little LOVE around Valentine’s Day, right? I put this Valentine’s Day LOVE banner together, and it’s the perfect combination of shimmer, pink and purple. I fell in love with the silver polka dot paper when I made this last year to share on the Core’dinations blog. Let me show you how I made it.

To make this banner for yourself you’ll need:
- Polka Dot Pops Paper – Silver with white dots
- Gemstones Paper in Pink Diamond and Amethyst
- Nesting Book Page Dies
- Cuttlebug
- Crop-A-Dile
- White Ribbon with Satin Edges
- Pink Ric-rac
- Gray Baker’s Twine
- Red and Pink Baker’s Twine
- Dimensional Adhesive
- Scissors
- Cricut Explore
Start off by using your Cuttlebug and Nesting Book Page Dies, and cut out six banner pieces from the Silver paper.
Once cut, this is what you’ll have.
Use your Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in the corner for your banner. (Have I ever told you just how much I love my Crop-A-Dile? It’s the best hole puncher you could ever have, it goes through several layers, and you can punch a hole in almost anything with it. I’ve punched Popsicle sticks, metals, etc. It’s amazing!)
Using the Amethyst Gemstone paper, cut out the small scalloped pieces. You’ll need five of these.
Punch holes in each side of these as well.
Using your Cricut Explore and Gemstone paper, cut out some hearts and LOVE letters.
Use your dimensional adhesive and place it on the back of your letters.
Mount the letters on the front of the silver paper.
Using two strands of baker’s twine, string your banner together like shown below.
Then add ric-rac and ribbon to each twine space.
Mount the hearts on the end banner pieces like shown.
Your banner is finished, and the added ribbon makes it that much more fun, don’t you think?
I love the extra dimension added from the adhesive squares.
Do you have a fun place in your home to display this fun banner?
