Do you ever have one of those days that you just can’t seem to get the things done that you’ve written on your to-do list? They happen to everyone I think, but man, this week, I’ve had that kind of week! On Monday I was totally on my game. I had gotten stuff done at home in the morning, and then I dropped my kindergartener off at school and headed to Costco. Just after I got to Costco, my 12 year old called and said he needed me to pick him up from school because he had hurt his hand. I told him that I had to finish at Costco, and I honestly probably couldn’t be there until school was out anyway. So once I picked him up and looked at his hand, I knew immediately that I needed to get him into the doctor to make sure it wrist, which was swollen, wasn’t broken. So we headed to the doctor, had it looked at, got the order to have an x-ray done, then had to head to a different office for the x-ray. Let’s just say that the rest of the grocery shopping didn’t get done that day. 🙂 Tuesday seemed to go a little better. I took the time to walk my kindergartener to school, then after school, my nine year old and I walked to cub scouts. Once I got home, I headed to the store to finish up the grocery shopping. We had dinner late, got everyone to bed and that was that. Wednesday morning I woke up not feeling so well. I had a little 24 hour flu bug or something, so I was in bed all day, which can be quite challenging with a three month old baby. We got through it. By Thursday I was feeling better, but by this point in the week, with other things that had happened, I was feeling behind. One thing that I knew I needed to do was to create something. Creativity is my outlet! It helps me feel better when I get the chance to create. Because I didn’t have a ton of time, I decided to work on this Hello Baby Boy Project Life album, trying to get at least the hospital pictures put into a book. And guess what! It was so quick! I enjoyed putting it together, it gave me the creative boost I needed, and I got the hospital pictures all put in the book. I can’t wait to get more pictures printed and get them put in the book as well! And now we are to Friday, headed into the weekend, and it’s going to be a good day, I can feel it! Even if it is raining outside. 🙂
I was so excited when Stampin’ Up! offered to send me the Hello Baby Boy Project Life set with the accessories and stamp set because having just had my fifth boy, I feel like I just don’t have time to create scrapbook layouts like I used to, and I don’t enjoy it like I used to either, SO Project Life by Stampin’ Up! is the perfect answer for me!
I started out by picking out the pictures that I wanted to use. I printed over 200 pictures, just from the hospital (remember the days of non-digital cameras, when we’d take a couple of pictures, and hope for the best?). I went through the pictures laying them out on the page protectors the way I wanted them, and then choosing the cards I wanted to use with them.
This is the front page of the book. I did hand write his name and birth stats, but didn’t want to share those publicly here, so you get to see the blank cards, but aren’t they so fun?
The colors of this set couldn’t be more perfect for a baby boy, could they?
I love that there is a page protector that is 6″ x 12″, with three 4″ x 6″ slots in it. I added that between two pages to add more photos.
My pregnancy was so hard with this baby, nothing like I had ever experienced before, so when I was finally able to meet this little guy, was so overjoyed! There is just something about a brand new baby, straight from Heaven!
We had lots of family come to visit us at the hospital, but I think my favorite visitors were my other four boys, and watching them hold and meet their brand new baby brother for the first time. I left blank cards on these pages, so I can have my older boys write on them about how they felt the first time they met the new baby.
It’s so fun to see how a baby can bring joy to everyone!
I can’t wait to sit down and get even more pictures put into this book. Because of using Project Life by Stampin’ Up! with this baby, I think he might already have more pages in his book than my fourth baby…I should work on that. 😉
