Need a little bit of Halloween decor for your home? I shared this project over at The Wood Connection last week, and today I’m sharing it with you. It’s a simple and fun one!

BOO Slat Sign Supplies:
- Small Horizontal Slat Sign
- Small Letters
- Charcoal Paint
- Paint Brush
- Paper
- Wood Glue
- Ribbon
Turn your letters over and trace them onto the back of your paper.
Cut out your letters.
Place them on the wood to make sure they don’t need to be trimmed anymore.
Paint your wood. I painted the front of the slat sign, leaving the grooves unpainted. I painted the edges of the letters.
Put some wood glue on the front of your letter. Spread it out with your paint brush.
Place your paper onto the glue. Smooth it out, making sure there aren’t any bubbles. I like to use a vinyl squeegee for this.
Adhere the paper to each of the letters.
Lay the letters onto your slat sign. I used my ruler to make sure the letters were all lined up.
Glue your letters onto your board.
Tie some ribbon around the bottom of the board, and you’re finished.
This would make the perfect addition to other Halloween decor, on a mantel or shelf, or even a side table.
What is your favorite piece of Halloween decor?
