Something that doesn’t happen quite as often as I would like, is me spending time in the kitchen cooking or baking. I don’t love to cook, but I don’t mind baking. I would probably bake something everyday if I had the time, but it’s a good thing that I don’t because then I’d want to eat it all! A few days ago, I decided to make some cinnamon rolls to take to a couple of friends. They didn’t turn out quite as well as I would have like them too, so I didn’t end up taking them over to the friends. I decided I’d make some scotcharoos instead, and what would a yummy little treat be with out a cute package to go with it?! Today I’m going to show you how to put this Sweet Treat for a Friend together.
I received product from Stampin’ Up! in exchange for this post. All ideas and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links.
Sweet Treat for a Friend Supplies:
- Perfect Mix Stamp Set
- Banner Framelits
- Cardstock (Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White)
- Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads (Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay)
- Clear Block
- Thick Baker’s Twine (I used what I had, but this is similar)
- Adhesive
- Cuttlebug
- Paper Treat Bags
Once you have all of your supplies gathered, cut strips of your cardstock to be the width that you’d like to wrap around the bag. I cut mine 2″ wide x 8.5″ long.
I got out the stamps and started stamping on the strips of paper. I made sure I had a piece of paper underneath since I was stamping on the edge of my paper.
I put a treat into each of the bags.
Folded the top of the bag.
I put adhesive on the back of the strip of paper, then wrapped it around the bag, securing it at the back.
Using whisper white cardstock, I stamped the “no one measures up to you” stamp with the three ink colors I was using. Once they were stamped, I used the banner framelits to cut it out, creating my tags.
I grabbed the thick baker’s twine and attached the tags to the bags. Aren’t they so cute, the way they turned out?!
I think for projects like this the thick baker’s twine is the best! I love that stuff!
Who would you give one of these cute little packages to? I’m sure anyone would love it!
