Autumn time has the best treats, right? I’d say Christmas time is a close second though. I love sweet treats, and I have such a hard time staying away from them! There are days I find myself eating more treats than actual food. Anyone else? It’s terrible, but I can’t say I don’t enjoy it…I’ve decided that Caramel Apples are the way to get that sweet tooth taken care of, but you don’t have to feel too guilty about it since you are having fruit. 😉 This Caramel Apple Autumn Gift is the perfect sweet treat to give any friend this fall.

Caramel Apple Autumn Gift Supplies:
- Milk Carton Box
- Fall Paper (find the one I used here)
- Apples
- Caramel Candies
- Baker’s Twine
- Adhesive
- Paper Trimmer
- Corner Chomper
- Brown Ink
Once you have all of your supplies, trim your paper to fit your box. The box I used is 5″ tall to where the top starts folding. I trimmed the red polka dot paper 2 5/8″. The lighter colored strip with words on it, I trimmed to 1 1/4″. I left both 12″ long. I cut the tags off of the other sheet, just following the lines on there. They are 3″ x 4″.
I used the Corner Chomper on the “Leave are falling Autumn is calling” card to round the corners. Then I inked all the edges of the paper I trimmed. I love what inking the sides of paper can do for making a project look more finished.
Here are my pieces after I inked them.
I put my adhesive on the back of the red polka dot piece. I used quite a bit to help it stick, but on the ends, hot glue or glue dots might be a good idea as well.
Wrap the red paper around your box and then do the same thing with the smaller paper.
Place your apple and caramels into the box.
Now it’s time to tie the box shut. I had a little trouble getting this box to close, so I had to tie the entire top. I doubled up the twine and threaded it through the holes at the top.
Then I wrapped it around and then back through the holes again. Then brought them to the front and tied them.
This kept the box from opening.
Then I attached the tag to the twine, and tied a bow.
It was so easy to put this all together, and I love the way it turned out. Fall colors are my favorite!
I love that paper with the words on it mixed with the polka dots. The words are even written in one of my favorite fonts!
I thought this tag was pretty perfect for a quick little gift like this, but you could also just use a plain tag with a personal note written on it.
I like the texture the twine adds as well.
So tell me, who will you be giving a Caramel Apple Autumn Gift to?
