Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and it seems like it is the one holiday that gets pushed aside a little bit more than other holidays. It gets lost between Halloween and Christmas. Am I the only one who feels this way? Anyway, I really enjoy making Thanksgiving Place Cards as well as decor for my home. One of my newer favorite things to make for my home is throw pillows. With the help of iron-on vinyl they are super quick and easy to make. I actually got this pillow design put together last year, and I never got it cut out and made because, well, life. It seems like anymore, that’s how everything goes for me. But this year, this year I got it done, and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. Today I’m going to show you just how easy this Grateful Thankful Blessed Thanksgiving Pillow is to make!

Grateful Thankful Blessed Thanksgiving Pillow supplies:
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cricut EasyPress
- Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl (Bronze, Copper, Old Gold, & Black Gold)
- Pillow Cover
- Ruler
- Design Space Cut File
Start out by cutting your glitter iron on.
Once you have it cut and weeded, use your ruler to line up and place it onto the pillow. Using multiple colors of iron on can be a little bit tricky because you have to layer it right so that you aren’t ironing your vinyl onto the carrier sheet for another piece. With this pillow I did have to trim some of the carrier sheets just right to get everything to fit how it needed to be.
I like to use a thin towel to lay over the top of my vinyl before I apply heat, but Cricut has a new Iron-on Protective Sheet that I can’t wait to try!
Get your EasyPress turned on and set it to the correct setting for glitter iron-on, then wait for it to heat up.
Start appying the heat to your iron-on. Use a slight pressure and hold the EasyPress in place until the timer is done.
Once your are finished, peel off your carrier sheets.
And that’s it! Your pillow is done! I’ve made plenty of these with my iron, but man, the EasyPress is so much better! And I love the timer on it, even if I have to tell myself to stop counting when I do these projects. 🙂
I can’t wait to get this pillow pulled out after Halloween!
I love the sparkle that the glitter adds, isn’t it fun?!
I think almost every pillow should have some glitter, don’t you think?
