Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Did you get all of your Christmas decorations out yet? We finished decking our halls this weekend. My boys are so excited for Christmas to be coming. One of my favorite things for Christmas is having a Christmas countdown. It’s a good thing too, because ever since the day after Thanksgiving, my 6 year old has been asking me daily if today is Christmas. So now that I have the countdowns (yes, I have 4!) out, I can show him how many days are left.
Today I’m sharing this fun flip chart countdown with you. I picked up this fun frame at IKEA a while back and a couple of weeks ago, I thought that I could use it for this.
I used the Cricut Craft Room to and my Cricut to cut out all of my banner shapes from the Birthday Bash cartridge. The paper I used is from Echo Park Paper, the Holly Jolly collection. It’s so fun and bright! Once I had all of my banner shaped cut out I glittered all the edges. Then started cutting paper for the center. I used Thickers for my numbers.
I love that I have such a stash of Thickers, because I had a variety to choose from.
Here is a better look at the glittered edges. I used regular elmer’s glue on the edges then put the glitter on. I felt like I was in grade school again while doing this. It was SO fun though!
My countdown goes all the way down to 0!
Once I was finished getting each day put together, I went back and added twine on some just to add a little something extra. I love this red, green, and white Christmas twine!
So, I want to know, how many Christmas countdowns do you have?
